What to feed to get Orange yolk

My eggs are consistently orange. I only feed my chickens real food and organic scratch. I don't spend any more time feeding them than I did my kids when they were living with me. I enjoy making them breakfast and they have the free range choice all year (temps as low as -15) organic greens -...

First timer with lots of questions

1.5 hours is NOT a long time to zip. Chickens have been domesticated for a loooong time. Their need for us to help them hatch is a rarity. You have done a great job !! They will be excited to meet you.

I am finding it hard to see - plastic is greyed. Is it really so bad to quickly take them out and then close the incubator again?

    Active and waiting

I have 5 eggs in the incubator - gathered on successive days. The first has hatched and is doing gymnastics in the incubator and seems a bit crazy. The others haven't hatched yet and I am wondering if it causes more distress to remove her or leave her there waiting. I have rigged a speaker with...

    incubating first season eggs

YAY!!! I'm not the only one ! I don't say impatient, i consider myself uber curious. However, on this occasion, i need to curb the curiosity so as not to cause undue harm and/or undue disappointment. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
