It's time to pull out those cameras and get your best photos of two of our favorite subjects... family members and backyard birds! Grab your...
Also yes—the large part of our run has covered areas as well as open areas to allow for sunlight. They are also blocked from heavy winds on this side of the house. It has a good mix of cover and open green grass for them to peck around in. So in a sense—yes it’s weather proofed as much as is...
Yes that part is open for venting on both sides and there is a little window in the back I can open for cross ventilation if needed.
Yes!—She is part poodle part Australian Shepard. Our birds like to look at her through the fence and and she likes to lay in the grass and sleep by them. It’s...
Hello!
Salt lake city Utah area! So we get cold in the winter and hot in the summer!
yes our coop is weather proofed. I used a very high quality weather stain and wood seal on the coop before our girls were out of their brooder. I know it’s not the “best” coop but it was the best I could do at...
I see what you’re saying now—very well could he too crowded now with them larger but they didn’t have that issue before. There is another roost outside this part in the photo that I noticed the bully on last night. They are doing slightly better today too. Fingers crossed that continues. I don’t...

yes it was very odd! But I’m sure it was her. The first one was very elongated and was cracked. The second one was small but normal looking. Today she laid one in the box she was in.
I’ll take these suggestions and run with them! Thank you. A little nervous about the bullying not stopping but...
Sablehaven:
Great! I am currently in the process of getting a portable run and extra box to separate the dominant one for a week (should it be that long?). I will use these tips of boosting my Wyandotte’s confidence again. The main coop has 3 nesting boxes so they have room—This has never been...
I’m new to owning chickens but I cannot find any articles anywhere that explains my flock.
I have 4 chickens—I got all 4 May 7th. 3 of the 4 were brand new and one was a week to 1.5 wks older (my Easter Egger which was advertised as an Ameraucana). The Easter egger has always been the more...
