    PLENTY OF VENTILATION, JUST THOUGHT THEY MAY LIKE A FAN... I TRIED THE WATER JUGS BUT THEY ARE SCARED OF IT, LEFT IT WENT BACK OUT AN HOUR LATER AND THEY STILL WHERE SCARED AND IT MELTED.     5 2 WEEK OLDS AND 10 3 WEEK OLD RIR, I LIVE IN CENTRAL TEXAS, IT CAN GET ABOUT 100 IN THE DAY. THE OTHER DAY A FEW OF THEM WHERE PANTING. IF THEY CAN TOLERATE HEAT THEN IM NOT WORRIED, JUST DONT WANT STRESSED BABIES.

    My chicks are outside in a upper level coop, it's suppose to get very hot this week and probably until August. Would putting a small fan in with them be ok? What would be the pros and cons?

    I'm short, about 5' so it's no problem for me to get in, does the flooring look good? I'm doing half cardboard box and leaving the other half wire. CL has free boxes all the time so that's not issue. Also I'm renting and this is the landlords coop from his chickens way back when, I do not want...

    I have 2 week old chicks here is what they are staying in. The top part of this coop. The bottom will be locked and closed till they are out and on their own. All the openings have 1/2"x1/2" wire covering.

    This is the inside of the top part where I will keep the 2 week old chicks, it's a good 95 in the day and not much cooler at night. Any suggestions on the flooring? Or is the wire ok? I'm gunna have a heck of a time catching these critters in here.

    WE HAVE A COOP THATS IN THE PEN THAT THEY WILL BE LIVING IN FOR NOW, IT HAS A TOP PART THAT IS TOTALLY ENCLOSED WITH THE 1/2" BY 1/2" FENCING, WE JUST FINISHED MAKING IT SNAKE PROOF AS WELL. THE OPEN PART IN THE BOTTOM IS GOING TO BE CLOSED OFF BY 2 GATE THINGS, ONE WE ARE GOING TO MAKE...
