Quote: it was about 8pm so they were all sleepy.. thats the only time you can actually catch some good photos as during the day.. you can't even catch them at ALL.. they run like road runner in a pack! Yea they are a mix of breeds.. i haven't seen the person's chickens who gave us the eggs...- sandz

Our favourite chicken decided to go broody.. but all our chickens also decided to stop laying any eggs and havent laid any eggs in months.. so we asked a friend for some eggs who has frizzle chickens and silkie chickens and ended up with these 4 chicks. The one with the comb is a white frizzle...- sandz

pet rooster attacking certain coloured objects like my red santa hat!
our pet rooster does not like red things, which i found out the other day while wearing my red santa hat.. i bend down to open another cage and then he tried to fly on top of me to attack the hat. Its not the first time he's done it to red things, another time to red gloves.. Is there any way...- sandz

thanks guys for the comments, its a chicken and a rooster just to confirm, you can certainly tell by now lol. The chicken is a pure langshan breed and the rooster is a mix of a langshan rooster breed and our rhode island red chicken we had [which passed away a few months ago from marek's...- sandz

UPDATE: After 3 months past, we figured out its a rooster! which makes it 3 roosters in total, - going to have to give him away since we already have 2 matures roo's, and another roo that came from one of our broody chickens. UPDATE! Well after 3 months, and 2 weeks later.. we finally know what they are! a chicken and a rooster!.. he's been roosting for about a month so far.. trying to copy his dad's roost. Hi there, just wondering if anyone can tell whether these baby chickens are male or female. The bigger one seems like a male and the smaller one a female. The small one is a langshan and the larger one is a cross between a langshan and this brown chicken wehave- sandz
