    Goat breed identification

Hey Y’all! My kiddos and I rescued this little girl from a grocery store parking lot last week. Trying to figure out what breed she may be. Doesn’t look quite like my Nigerians. She’s got wattles as well.

    Needing cockerel confirmation

hello! One of my hens hatched out a batch of chicks a couple months back- a few are looking mighty cockerely, just looking for some confirmation. I believe my EE roo fathered most of these, moms could be ee’s, rsl, bsl, australorp, slw.... Anyways, thanks so much! And sorry for all the mud, we...

3 Females, 3 Males or 2 Females and 1 Male?

And an all male flock would most likely result in fighting. Larger drakes have been known to try and mate smaller drakes which can fatally injure them :( sorry!

3 Females, 3 Males or 2 Females and 1 Male?

Even a 1 male to 2 female ratio will be hard for the girls. Drakes are not kind to their “mates” and will overbreed them and potentially injure them. If you’re not wanting to breed them for ducklings I would get three females. You could look into some magpie ducks :) I may be biased but their...

    Dog or no dog?

You’ve gotten a lot of good advice on this thread- basic obedience really needs to come first. You need to have (at the very least) established some leash manners, a strong “leave it”, and a que word to get the dogs attention. Lots of work converting a country dog to a city dog. I would start...

Wild ducks hanging with our domestic ducks

Random question- if a male Appleyard was to mate with the Mallard female, would any ducklings produced from that mix be able to fly? Or would they be too large like most domestics :idunno

    WHAT BREED OF ROOSTER?

You may also want to look at Phoenix roosters- similar coloring in some varieties, very pretty, gorgeous long tails.

    Allotment chickens

Good morning! So this coop is not going to be where you live? What is the square footage? Hard to tell from pics :) will they be let out for free ranging or always in the pen?

    Single duck

Good morning! I would suggest rehoming to a home with other pet ducks. You can use BYCs rehoming forum- https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/animals-in-need-of-free-re-homing.16182/ Obviously you care for your duck which is why you posted your question in the first place :) but as other...
