I heard them quacking and looked out my window. It was indeed an owl and was awesome to see up close. There were feathers floating on the top of the pond, and all ducks were missing. As soon as the owl was away they came up from underwater. (quack quack)
An owl got at my ducks the other day and one of my mallards is walking on his ankle (thought it was the knee, but it's the ankle-duck anatomy is weird.) He can move his foot up, but not down.
Can this be fixed? I assume it's a tendon.
I got 325g aspirin, did some math, and 1/4 tablet in 4 cups of water is the equivalent. My duck with the bummed leg is getting better after resting in a sling for a day. I just gave her aspirin now, so I hope she feels better today! Good news is that she's starting to put pressure on the leg!
