One of my Australorps has the swollen bottom. I first noticed her closing her eyes while standing. She has been getting soaks, lubed, and calcium for 2 days now and nothing. Her poop is normal. Pretty sure she has not been laying, but can have a tendency to lay large double yolk size eggs. Any help?
She passed it earlier today and was bound since yesterday. She seems content for tonight. She was quite a bit more relaxed since everyone went to bed for the night. She has been eating good and I have been putting electrolytes in her water. The vet gave her a shot of calcium and some pain meds...
My Buff has finally laid her egg that was stuck, but has gone back into the nesting box. There was only one egg according to the x-ray. Any ideas why she would be doing this? I am deeply concerned. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
These girls were sold as Isa Browns. (Tractor Supply) I am thinking they are not. They are not what i find when o loom them up. Can someone please confirm or tell me what they actually are. Thank you
I didattach a pic, bit it didn't post. I tried to edit and it told me there is an error with the system. Maybe it will post. If not, I will try again later
These two are a mess. The one on the left is always coming up and tapping on my butt to get my attention. The girl on the right, I can't keep her off me. The other day I had to catch her as she came up while I was standing.

I'm Wendy and joined a few days ago. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful and I am really appreciative. I am new to raising chickens and have enjoyed my chicks so far.
I got 4 chicks from a feed and seed, 2 RIR & 2 Dominique. One of each of them appear to have a hard round ball on a couple of their toes. I first thought it was just dried poop due to so many chicks in the brooder. I have had them for 2 weeks now and it's still there. I have tried soaking in...
Are they all so personable? I have one that takes it to the next level, but all 3 are sweet and like being handled. I also have 3 Isa Brown girls and only one of them is super sweet.
