My rooster was the smallest chick, so he never shoved or pushed for food. I would just take him apart and give him some seeds or some other treat to make sure he ate. Now he's about the same size as the hens, and he's the nicest one (he actually like sitting on people and having them pet them).
make sure that they have plenty of food and aren't hungry. Don't give actual egg yolks and egg whites because they realy like them and might start cracking the egg open completely.
When I take her out and put her on the ground she'll just walk around for a little bit, sometimes eat and then go's right back into the nest. She lets me touch her and pick her up, she starts crying out and puffing when the other two chickens come to her nest, but she's fine with me being...
My chicken has started to just sit in her nest all day and all night, not coming out. Is this normal? She doesn't have an egg in there, and there shouldn't be any other reason.
