    Does anyone have experience with buckaboo farm silkies?

    My daughter would like to get some show quality bantams for her 4h. She came across buckaboo farms and is interested in getting a golden neck d'uccle and a silkie pullet. Does anyone on here have experience with them? Are they a reputable place to source bantams from?

    So, I am currently thinking about getting an electric poultry fence next summer to give my hens more space around the yard. Unfortunately, I have 3 hawks who live on my property.     Do you think a female goose would work? I've heard it's not a good idea to house ganders with hens.

    The hawks are fairly large red taileds. They don't like people very much, and we have crows the chase them off for days a a time. I've seen them circle a small dog though, so I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate with chickens. Do you think a smaller goose like a roman would be enough to scare hem...

I was wondering if a guard goose could help deter the hawks. Installing netting would be very hard to do with these types of fences...

    I've noticed that my almost 3 week old chicks occasionally stretch their neck with their mouths open, then close them and shake their heads. what is this? They seem to be their normal, loud selves otherwise. This isn't normal, is it?

    kind of off topic, but do you have any breed guesses for the black chick? I'm guessing Black Andalusian but I don't really know.
