Yes, she seem to be gasping. There have been no other symptoms.

A Maran chick that we hatched from local fertilized eggs has a very swollen head, neck and wing area. Like it’s a bubble around her. What is this? Will she survive? Can my other chickens get sick?

I’m running out of brooder space in our bathroom. I hatched quail 3 weeks ago and picked up 4, 4 day old chicks from TSC. Can I put them in the brooder together since they are size comparable right now? I have more quail hatching today and need to use one of the brooder for those babies.

The humidity didn’t drop much and it went right back up. It’s in my bathroom and it’s hot and humid in there. I put the shower on to give a little extra for when I pulled some out. Hopefully more will come. Thanks!

hi. I’m hatching quail and it’s day 18. I have 14/33 hatched and I put them in the brooder every 12 hours. There’s a few in the incubator that have cracks in shell but no movement. One you can even see feathers, but I can’t see it breathing. Humidity has gotten as high and both vents are open...

This morning I noticed one of my Barred Rocks with a twisted beak. Is it broken? Will she be able to eat and drink sufficiently? She did look like she was eating but could tell if it was enough.

This just happened to us last night. Yesterday she was large breasted, asolated then died this morning. She was a Blue Splash Maran 7 1/2 weeks old.
