    ALABAMA!!

Does anybody know where I can get some pure Americauna chicks or hatching eggs in Southeast AL? I ended up with Easter eggers last time and most of them turned out to be roosters. I would love some blues or wheatens. Also, I have a brahma who has been broody for weeks. I put her in a broody...

    Ameraucanas? Any pullets?

So very true! I'm am just amazed at how much these chicks have changed in the last couple of weeks. The only one who looks anything like it did in those first pics is the blue one. She just got bigger but still looks relatively the same. The rest look completely different!

    Ameraucanas? Any pullets?

Just wanted to update now that these guys are around 10 weeks old. I have 2 definite cockerels and 2 pullets. From the pictures above- the chick in the very last pic and the blue chick turned out to be pullets. The dark chick and the one in the 2nd to last pic (who is the same chick on the roost...

Thank you! They are turning into beautiful boys. Valentino is developing some splashes of red around his wings and green in his tail feathers. It's gonna be so hard to let them go when it's time to re-home them!

Just thought I'd post some updated pics of the chicks I asked about almost 2wks ago. These guys have changed so much since I first brought them home! I am positive I have 2 cockerels and pretty sure the other 2 are pullets. Topaz- cockerel Valentina- now Valentino- cockerel Sapphire and...

Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I got them from a breeder a month ago and he said they were 4-5 wks. They were outside in a coop/run with older pullets, hens, and the cock who he said was the father. A blue wheaten Ameraucana. They were supposed to be Ameraucana chicks but I have learned from the forum here they are actually...

I asked about these babies a month or so ago in another thread. The replies were all pullets. As they have grown I still believe the blue and the smaller reddish one are pullets. However the black headed one and the dark one I'm not sure about. The dark one has the pinkest comb and looks like 3...

    ALABAMA!!

Hey Bama people! I'm new to the forums and just found this thread. I'm down in SouthEast AL. I live in Enterprise and I have a small backyard flock- 3 brahmas who just started laying and 4 Ameraucanas (who may actually be EEs) that are 4-6weeks old. I have to come read Backyard Chickens to feel...

    Ameraucanas? Any pullets?

Wow really? All pullets? That would be awesome! I live in town so I can't have a rooster. I had kinda hoped they were really Ameraucanas though. I did see the parents. The cock was a beautiful Blue Wheaten and the breeder told me he was from a particular line- I can't remember the name. Oh well-...

    Ameraucanas? Any pullets?

These were sold to me by a breeder as Ameraucanas- they are around 4weeks. Do they look like Ameraucanas or are they EE? I know it's still pretty early to tell yet but do any look like pullets?

    Sick chicks?

Ok I will go ahead and treat them as soon as it gets here. Better safe than sorry! I do have other chickens- 3 brahmas. I have been keeping these babies in the house and didn't plan on introducing them to the big girls until they get bigger.
