    Do you have owls in your area? Great Horned owls will take off the heads, then come back for the rest of the bird later. Or as in Texas, here in South Carolina a Coon with do the same thing.     Well I have to pass on sad news... I had to make the call to put the little down today. The blood build up was because it was not following into her feet. The knee joint had rigor mortis set in and the feet were ice cold. She was not grow either. I could not see a duck with out its flappers...

    I have a baby rhode island red with a very swollen vent, it keeps pooping but it's acting like its constipated and very lethargic. I just want to make sure it isn't sick and won't spread to my other baby chicks. thanks for any help

    I have a rhode island red chick with a very swollen vent and some discharge, looks like she's constipated. She looks very weak and like she's an outcast. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I just want to make sure if she is sick that she doesn't infect the other chicks. Thanks
