    Is it time to seperate these two?

    My 11 month frizzle seems very intent on playing mama to my 4 month cuckoo maran. She doesn't sit on the others eggs, but they stick pretty close together. Ove had them for about a month and haven't gotten any eggs from the frizzle. Is it time to seperate them for a few days?

    do you line your run with gravel or sand or just leave the dirt?

    Ours is just like yours, the weeds didn't last long though. I rake it to clean it out and the girls seem to like digging in the dirt. The biggest problem we've had is they like to dig too much, we're going to have to put something around the edges of the run to keep animals from getting in.

    Thank you for the welcome, we have really enjoyed our hens so far. I saw on the breed profile that the frizzle was supposed to be a medium layer, we've had her since the 15th if April and haven't gotten a single egg. Any thoughts?
