Welcome! Im in California, too...san diego...& hav only had chickens for a year now. But like u, i enjoy the excitement of seeing what my mixbreed eggs produce. I'd luv to know what breeds u hav and see any pix u r willing to share of ur hatchlings. Also, is there a certain mix of breeds or...
Hi, Pyxis. Well, last night, it took 2 people to get the shoes on, and they dont look as professionally cobbled as do urs, but finally, we got the magic shoes on. Minion slippers! This morning, having gained some confidence and seeing that one foot had wiggled partly out, i refit a new pair on...

"Shoes"? Do they make Forest Gump Magic Shoes for chickens, or is this something i have to MacGuyver? Also, is it ok to wait a day, or will that time solidify the problem? Thanks for replying.
I'm still new to raising chickens. I've only hatched a dozen baby chicks. Today one hatched and it won't uncurl it's toes. Has anyone had this problem or is it not a problem at all and I'm just being paranoid? Informed advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.
I have 22 chickens...19 different breeds, but i dont have any silkies yet. Does anyone have a recommendation regarding the best place to get silkies in San Diego, CA or online, provided there is no minimum order? Thanks!
