It does, I didn't know how he got it so bad till I was watching him in the house and half of the comb falls in the water when he drinks from it. So that explains what happened for the accelerated frost bite.- SE Driftless Chicken Lady

My poor Jojo in the picture does have frost bite. He has been in our home since Saturday morning recovering from it.
