    As a veteran of baby chick antics I recommend…that you build a lid for it.wood frame with hardware cloth mesh.NOTHING will stop a baby chick from escaping once those cute little minions get their wings!:lau (Except a lid of course)

    I am going to say cockerel,those legs look mighty thick.Where did you get him?Because there is no way that is a Blue laced Barnevelder it looks more like a Gold laced Wyandotte mixed breed.This is a Blue laced Barnevelder in comparison to your bird.
