    I figured I should join backyard chickens since every google search about chickens or ducks leads me here. I started with chickens and ducks in march, I currently have 24 chickens and 3 ducks ranging in age from my ducks which are about 8 weeks to my oldest chicken a Cochin, who is 20 weeks.

    I'm still calling her/him Agnes. It sounds like both, what is funny is I told my husband "I guess we will know when it starts crowing or lays an egg" and it started crowing later that day. Agnes hangs out with my young brown leghorn roo, its like they are the dominate pair.
