This is Agnes, my neighbors received her/him as a free chick with their order, by the time Agnes was 6 weeks he/she was getting picked on and tail feathers pulled out so the neighbors gave Agnes to us. The first picture is 6 weeks. The other little picture is 8 weeks. We thought Agnes was a pullett, she acted like a brood mother to our baby chicks, but has gotten kind of mean. The other day she started crowing, but she also sings the egg song frequently (no eggs) Agnes is a Cochin and is 20 weeks old now. The other 2 pictures are recent in the last couple of weeks.

I have what I call a it. It has tail feathers like rooster but a face and comb like a hen. Doesn't try to crow and sounds like a hen when you pick it up. None of the other roos try to mate it and it doesn't try to mate any of the hens.

I have what I call a it. It has tail feathers like rooster but a face and comb like a hen. Doesn't try to crow and sounds like a hen when you pick it up. None of the other roos try to mate it and it doesn't try to mate any of the hens.

I'm still calling her/him Agnes. It sounds like both, what is funny is I told my husband "I guess we will know when it starts crowing or lays an egg" and it started crowing later that day. Agnes hangs out with my young brown leghorn roo, its like they are the dominate pair.
