Do you guys think this (standard sized) dark cornish is a cockerel or a pullet?:) It's about 8 weeks old in the photos:

Thanks before hand

These guys just turned a month old. I can already tell my mutt chicken is a little rooster, but the Chocolate Orpington and Splash Wyandotte are tricky for me.

Order -
Mutt (Swedish Flower roo X Buff Brahma), Splash Wyandotte, Chocolate Orpington.

Can get better pictures after work if needed. Thank you so much!

They look a little young, or maybe it's the pictures. I can tell you that you don't have a purebred wyandotte, because all of those chicks have single combs.

These are hard ones. But I think the first buff is a roo and other two buffs are hens.
The blacks I believe are all roo's.

I agree with you on the Goldens, I had actually called #1 a roo from one day old. The way it stood and the attitude just screamed it and well, it still shows. Hes a sweetie though, too bad I cant have roos. #2 Ive been iffy with until the shape started turning more rounded, but Im still going to watch. That ones not the nicest bird I have. #3 is SO sweet, easily my fave so Im happy its looking pullet.

The blacks, I cant tell at all. I was thinking roos with 2 & 3, based on the red forked come and the red wattle development. What makes you think #1 is a cockerel? That one I was just blank.

Cockerel

Wiggles is a rooster, Cleo is a hen.

The only one that looks like an obvious cockerel is the 3rd black one. (I'm not too good at polish sexing.)

1# might be a roo, 2# is a roo, 3# is most likely a roo(?), 4# pullet, 5# pullet, 6# roo, #7 roo. (They might surprise you, they are still young.)

Pullet

Polish are hard! Im leaning roo for the first gold laced, crest is a but wild and its stood and acted like a roo from day 1. I rather like that one so I was hoping not. The blacks are even harder because their crests are on the small side. I agree with #3 with that red forked comb, and I think #2 because the red wattle development.

The EEs, Im hoping against all hope the blue one (#3) is a pullet but with the 3 rows, and pretty pink... Im not holding my breath. 1 just is weird, very pink but odd shaped comb. I thought the mahagony on the wings might be a sign for that one too.
