Have you thought of cattle panels from Tractor Supply? They’re pretty stiff, inexpensive and could cover a lot of space. Then maybe fill in spots with chicken wire fencing.
If she’s wheezing and has fluid flowing out of her beak, it could be pneumonia. Call your vet. I think you can give VetRx orally, but check the instruction. If you have Nutra Drench, give her some. That should help! I’ve given it to a sick chick and it perked mine right up!

Okay!! I’ve had RSLs for 10 years and I’ve never observed the neck fluffing like the marans. I was afraid maybe they were cockerels. My RSLs just fluff up all over and shake their feathers. These marans are hilarious and super entertaining!
