    To assist or not?

Thank you for your reply! I was going to have a look to see what the yolk sac was like, but as soon as I took it out of the incubator it started zipping! I'm hoping it will be okay, and that nothing is still attached to it :)

    To assist or not?

Hey guys, This is definitely not my first time hatching in an incubator, but I've not had a hatch like this! I have some appleyard and aylesbury eggs now on day 30, and yesterday I assisted one which had been internally pipped for 48 hours and not externally pipped. It was making noise for...

    When to assist?

I'm hatching duck eggs, and they all externally pipped Tuesday evening and where I am it's now Thursday evening. Two have broken through the outer membrane, which was Wednesday night, but both of them are continuously hitting their beaks against the same spot and the membrane around the pup area...

    Late hatching

Hey, so I have one egg that was due to hatch two days ago (the other two weren't fertile) so it's now day 30! There's no internal pip either. I candled the egg today and the duckling inside was moving, and it has filled the egg apart from the air sack. There are still a couple of thicker blood...

    Hatching in a small incubator

Hey so this is my first hatch and I bought this incubator from a friend of a friend but it's very small (can only fit 3 Aylesbury eggs) and the tray which holds the eggs has quite large holes in it. I know you're meant to keep the duckling in there for 12 hours for it to dry out, but in worried...
