    Thanks, that seems to be the only thing that really hits the nail on the head, unfortunate though it is. I think a trip to the vets tomorrow, I'll keep you updated

    We got two Sussex Light chicks about 7 weeks ago so they're probably about 14 weeks old by now and haven't started to lay yet. One of the chickens seems to be fine and it thriving with red comb and wattles, the other one lathargic with a drooping tail and regularly just stands around and closes...
