    I get mine from a feed warehouse that specializes in pigeon feeds. Its about one dollar a pound. My chickens love hemp. i would love to get some that isn't steam-treated to render it sterile for growing.

    What ever became of your hen who grew spurs and laid eggs without shells? I have two hen growing spurs. The one has full spurs and lays shelless eggs. Now the one starting to grow spurs is have egg that are thin shell. Any information or experience of others on this issue would be wonderful.
