So some predators got some of my chicks last night. What would be the best/easiest way to "replace" them and integrate them with the current flock?
Get baby chicks, brood them, and then integrate ?
Or buy them already pullets and integrate them as older chicks?
They're about eight weeks...
Just wondering what would be best for the run/outside part. Our coop does have a roof over the run but we want to fill the bottom with something because we have hardware cloth on the bottom, so we're not sure what to fill it up. Any recommendations/tips? Thanks!

Right now our coop (the inside part) has wood plank floors. What should we do for bedding? Should we use pine shavings and deep litter? Sand and scoop...
