Amerecauna mix rooster in NEPA
We have a 15 week old Ameraucana mix rooster (Easter Egger), some have said possibly Favacauna Salmon mix but who knows, he is a pretty boy but we just can not have him due to ordinances. Here they are having their watermelon together before Nugget moves in with his new gal pals this afternoon, let the waterworks begin. It’s hard when you have reptiles. We need to feed mice, rats and buggies of all sorts. We breed the rats and try to at least give them good lives while they are growing. I wish their diet didn’t consist of critters . My daughter would take them all in if she could?- ShellShell

We picked him up at a reptile show, they were there as snake and lizard feeders. My daughter and grandson each picked one to rescue. Who knows really what they are or where they even came from. In town we can only have 5 hens, we figured out of 5 what was the chance of 2 roosters, lol. Of course that’s our luck. Nugget started last week crowing so we found him a place first. We were pretty sure on sex of Apple, and obviously for Nugget. It’s pretty traumatic for my daughter (she is 20 but is the chicken whisperer). No more chicks for us, even that 20% possibility of mistake in sexing is to upsetting.- ShellShell
