It’s hard when you have reptiles. We need to feed mice, rats and buggies of all sorts. We breed the rats and try to at least give them good lives while they are growing. I wish their diet didn’t consist of critters . My daughter would take them all in if she could?

We kept a bearded dragon for a year and really enjoyed her but she stopped eating good when it was time for her to go on a more veggie based diet so I rehomed her with someone more experience. Turns out the only thing they could get her to eat was live pinky mice! I knew then that I'd made the right decision. No way I ever could've done it!

Well yeah maybe if I had mice nests laying around but I don't have those yet- hopefully never. I just couldn't go buy them for feed.

Here they are having their watermelon together before Nugget moves in with his new gal pals this afternoon, let the waterworks begin. The legs are a lighter yellow and a bit pinkish.

What were you referring to with “pinkish” legs? He has pink but not a lot. BTW, he is thrilled with his new pals! He fit right in with the group.
