I hatched this baby Feb 1 from some ordered eggs. It was an OE order but the person tossed in some extras. I know this is porcelain in color but any ideas yet on gender? And is it a turken or silkie cross? Sweet personality even though I’m not a fan of naked neck, this one got my attention.
I’m not even sure on age, but this one makes a noise every evening and then we’ve seen it get loud when something flies over the yard. Maybe just a smart hen in the making 🤷♀️
I’m not sure on exact age but thinking five months. The person I got them from said his started laying, these have not. The splash is really changing in the last week… we are hearing a noise every evening and then all go to the pen. Is the splash a cockerel!? Those wattles are growing like crazy...
Yes he came from someone who breeds Ayam Cemani and Marans. This rooster has me so confused! He seems fine except sneezing! We brought him into garage and he hadn’t sneezed once since he’s been inside. Outside, he’s constantly sneezing. He doesn’t crow, he makes hissing noises and like a...
@dawg53 Did you see my additional post where I said this rooster has yet to crow and he’s 14 months. He makes hissing sounds and a little screeching noise only.
That’s what my husband thinks…environment. When we picked him up with two hens, I felt like he was sneezing some then but the guy said that’s just the noise he makes . I don’t think so. I will say that the environment he was in was not the cleanest as far as chicken pens go but the hens came...
I’ll also add this rooster has never crowed since he’s been here in two weeks. He hisses at you. I told the person we got him from and he said he has another rooster that never crows just squeaks and hisses… sounds like a human with laryngitis at times
Yes this is what I have! I have him separated. He is new to the flock and I thought I noticed sneezing almost two weeks ago but again no mucus or drainage, eyes look good. Idk if I should give doxy or VETRx for symptoms or what
Our rooster is constantly sneezing but I see no drainage and he’s eating well. I have some doxycycline powder but how do I give it to just him? I want to keep him separated and dose him since none of the hens showing any symptoms. Does anyone know the dosage and for how long?
