    Oh good!! I'd hate to think my NG's (new girls) are laying eggs anywhere. Plus I think all my NG's are brown egg layers. Thanks for the input, as always byc people are great!!

    Hope these show up. I found this egg in the yard. Was hoping someone could identify it? I don't think it's an egg from my new girls but could be. It's awfully small though. What do ya'll think?

    Oh my!! I can only imagine how horrific that was. If it weren't for my hunter husband I'm not sure I could process any of our chickens. I completely understand the cycle of life but not sure I wanna be on the front line of that process. Guess it would get better after processing a few.

    Just thought of another question. Does anyone else have a chicken now and then that just seem to be crabby and pecks at all the other chickens aggressively? How do you handle that situation?
