    She doesn’t have any bloating or swelling. I’ve never heard of albumin..... l just read about albumin and it’s possible that is what’s going on. It’s confusing because she’s never gone broody. I have 2 buffs that go broody about twice a year. I only have 7 hens and no rooster.

    I have a 2 year old Buff hen that I have watched in the nest box “expressing the bloom fluid” to the point of causing the shavings to be quite wet, but never laid an egg. I waited on her to finish and when she left the nest I checked.... and no egg. She is about twice the size of the other...
