    I tried separating them yesterday. The hen started making noice like she is calling the rooster. She stand and leave her nest for a while. I don't know why, maybe she was not fully broody or not committed yet. Btw, today she laid her final egg.

    I'm still waiting. They say first clutch is less likely to hatch. I'm hoping at least 4 out of 7 will hatch.

    Yes her eggs are tiny. She's broody now and is sitting 4 eggs, since 3 of them are not fertile. It's her first egg clutch. The egg's father is the golden serama in the picture.

    Hi I've got a rooster, he's half serama and half micro bantam ( a bantam breed in philippines that is about a size of a serama) I bred him with a pure malaysian serama, Would their chicks look like a pure serama by appearance?

    I have a broody hen with 4 chicks. I've heard that chick should eat at night. In the night, they are sleeping with their mum, without light, of course. But do they need light for them to eat and drink at night, or they are fine without light? They are serama though.
