Only the gash on his face that he wouldn't really let me look at. it's not actively bleeding, but like you can see where it was a lot. and there is a lot of missing feathers on his neck, but no bleeding or scratches there as far as I can notice
What happened was, and terrible mistake. I have all of my breeds normally separated, but recently they all have been together free ranging, and all the roosters get along. I happened to get another serama rooster because I sell chicks locally to friends. So, I got one younger, but still mature...
He is inside in a brooder box with the special water suggested, some regular water, and food. I have not seen him eat or drink yet so I am still a little concerned, but he has a whole bunch of energy and back to his spunky self trying to completely run away from me. He is still half closing his...
My older serama rooster I think attacked my younger newer one. The rooster was standing in a corner with a big gash in his face. And some feathers missing on his neck. I bought him inside, and wiped it off a little. he is shaking and breathing a little funny and the gash is pretty significant...
Hey, so. I don't know what's going on, but I check chickens at 7am, fed at 9 am. And now I've got an injured chicken at 12:30 pm. I walk out to my coops and the little man is just hoping around on one leg, not using his other at all. Brung him in and tried finding the problem, but feeling his...
I've always wanted a couple polish chickens to come in a bantam size! Wow, I never herd of Sultans before. If anyone else has sultan chicks available, I would love to get a couple. I picked #1 and #2 out bc I was hoping they are Porcelain D'uccles, and at least one of them most likely is. But, I...
Wow!!! Thanks. I just checked and #3 does have 5 toes and i never noticed that. What do white sultans look like? Also, I thought Cochins are those massive chickens...
Can I get a couple picture of what #3 #4 and #5 will look like when they are older?
I got 5 new chicks today from TSC from the "Assorted Bantam" bin. I was wondering what breed they were. A couple looked like Porcelain D'uccles to me, but I am definitely no expert in chicken breeds at this age. What do you guys think they are? There are 3 whiter ones and 2 darker ones. Thanks...
Ok, if I were to only buy half a dozen, would it be $17.50 And then add the price for shipping? I am not interested in buying just this second, but i am interested in getting some in 1-2 months.
I was wondering if I were to hatch chicks (which I should be soon ) which would be more noisy-
1. Housing 1-4 chicks together (very little chicks)
2. Housing 4-7 chicks together (more chicks)
Possible reasoning for #1- less chicks would mean less friends to talk to, wile have more "buddies"...
Oh, and I would also like names- preferably "candy names". My rooster is named Willy Wonka, and a few of my hens are called Dove, Mars, and Milky Way. So my Bantam flock has a candy theme and is called "The candies" lol. Anyone git some cute names for these cuties?
I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum, but I recently got 3 new silkies- 2 pullets and a cockrial. I was wondering what you guys thaught of their colors?
