4 India Blue 1 year old Peafowl: 2 males 2 females. Extremely friendly, we are so attached to them, watched them hatch from mom and she did a beautiful job raising them. They are mostly wild, sleep 30' feet up a tree. We just feed them breakfast and dinner and sometimes an occasional treat...

ok, i didn't want to put the peahen through the separation of her chicks after all her work laying, and most importantly we need to get her out of danger as she is out on the property (we keep our peafowl wild).

Peachicks are 2 weeks old, and we are keeping mom and chicks penned for safety. We let them out (supervised) for short outings into the bigger pen. Meanwhile curious, is it safe for the male to hang out with mom and chicks? he is lonely and curious, but respectively stays away and gives her...

my first experience with this so i'm kinda excited trying to keep mom and her babies warm and dry...after a month of hot days, i'm not welcoming the rain these days. it looks like mom has it covered though. any suggestions are welcomed.

i'm not sure how many...i was convinced she had dud eggs, so i lifted her off but she wouldn't budge, and i saw a cracked empty eggshell and heard chirping, at least 2 chirps (6 eggs total). we will soon find out...this is very exciting !!!
