    Fox problem

Electric fence positioned well will stop almost all unwelcome vistiors. Another thing that works very well is to use hardware cloth for fencing material, at least for places that the predator can get to at night. A note on trapping and moving. The survival rate of relocation is almost 0. The...

Baby chick has flap of skin on his bottom?

What you are seeing is the baby chick absorbing the remainder of the egg yolk. An umbilical cord is an aparatus that attaches the baby's systems to the mother while in the womb. As chickens do not develop inside of the body of the mother they do not have the same apparatus. The baby chick...

Baby chick has flap of skin on his bottom?

Good morning, just wanted to say that birds don't have umbilical cords. Fecal Report back, my Vet is Unavailable - Can anyone translate this?

It appears to me that your chicken is negative for Giardia, and has very few other parasites tested for present. Just curious why did you test for parasites?

    Silver Grey Dorking chicks

I just sent in my order for 25 straight run, will see how it goes. I thought it interesting also, like I said they were the only ones I lost and it happened when they were about 3 weeks old. Will hope they do better. Am also sending in as order to Ideal, their quality is not great however...

    Silver Grey Dorking chicks

Thanks, I bought from McMurray 2 years in a row and the only losses I had were the SG Dorkings at about 3 weeks of age. May get the courage up to try them again. Your idea is kind of the conclusion I had come to. I was going to order a bunch from Ideal, maybe try McMurray again (I find it...

I am looking for Silver Grey Dorkings (standard) preferably show quality. Duane Urch or Horstman lines would be great. Does anyone have any hatching? Thanks and have a great day.
