If you get your incubator back up to temp the live eggs should be at temp within a hour. By then you will feel a difference in temp between the ones that are alive and the ones that are not doing the hand method. Don't forget to raise the humidity up to 65-70% on the last 3 days so the chicks...
I use one of those hand held thermometers that is digital and you just point it at the egg and a red dot shines on the egg .I don't know the name they are called.
I'm sorry I sent my reply before finishing. The reason egg temp is important rather then air temp is because the chick will produce heat if it's alive. this is why temps increase as incubation periods are further along. If the egg is in the mid 90s it's a good chance it is still alive. hope this...
I'm in the process of building a hatcher using the incu advance with just one heater. I hope to have it up and running on day 18 which will be the 28th of this month. I,ll keep you posted.
Thank You for your kind reply. I have 2 incu therms and both read differently. They are not calibrate-able. If it is a remote sensor type try cleaning the sensor with warm water.
