Once a day if I can. Usually 30 minutes to an hour before dusk. They generally come back to the coop on their own or with minimal coaxing.

I think you are talking about I call buzzard. I don't believe they are any threat to your chickens. I think they pretty much eat carrion.

I'd make sure you have proper weather protection and then I'd try some fossil shell flour.

Nice job! Looks efficient for 3 to 5 mature chickens. I think they might appreciate some type of roof.

Somebody..somewhere said it best, "chickens look for ways to die" To not lose chickens you have to keep them extremely secure.

The main reason I go thru all the work of working tractors.
