    Thank you for sharing!!! Ive set up several pools around the cool also placing one a bit further away i. The opposite direction of the pond in hopes it keeps them plenty happy! Tomorrow will be day one for them free ranging and Im crossing my fingers!!

    I suppose I should have said a "square acre". The pond is probably around 350-400 feet away. We only have female ducks for this reason. The drake I was referring to was years ago and he was not great for our chickens, especially having no lady ducks around.

    Yes I know it’s always a possibility. Luckily we’ve never had one wonder over to our chickens. I suppose also If the ducks do ever touch the pond it might give them a reason to try to.
