We have a pond that can’t be seen from our duck coop area. It is quite a walk from the coops.
We do have two pools for our ducks near their coop. They never go down to the pond and only use their pools.
I’m not sayings yours won’t, but it certainly helps by having access to water/swim close to the coop.

Thank you for sharing!!! Ive set up several pools around the cool also placing one a bit further away i. The opposite direction of the pond in hopes it keeps them plenty happy! Tomorrow will be day one for them free ranging and Im crossing my fingers!!
