I have 3 EEs two lay blue/green and on e lays pink. All have straight combs. All look mostly like Delawares. The pink layer is the only one with grey legs.
Thank you! I would think they almost have to have lice,,, feet look like leg mites now and some loosing feathers. Plus, I wormed them with febendazole and they aall pooped out a lot of worms. Since they have never really been cared for, I figure they must have lice also.
I read where...
Thanks! I have some hens that are just this side of being feral despite all my efforts to try and tame them. So far Ive only been able to worm them with liquid goat wormer in their water. I'd sure like to know if your Ivomec in water has helped or rid them of lice?
I would sincerely love to know what ratio you used please. I have some feral hens that Im relatively sure have mites and lice. I can worm them via drinking water, but there is No Way I can de lice them physically,,, drinking water would be best method for me. Please let me know how to mix it...
personally in this case and because you can pick her up etc, I would get febendazole because that kills all worms, but not the lice. try panacure ( seems to be the less expensive) and just put some in her mouth that way you Know she got it. Ok, so then abut 10 days later then put your...

Thank you SourRoses! If feathers is the only reason, I think Ill stay with my half and half mix then which should have me a lot closer to the 20%. I would worry that they high level of protein in the game bird starter would be hard on their kidneys etc. and I cant see how it would help them...
Ok, thanks! It may have to wait till I can get someone to help, they are not likely to hold still long enough for me to take a pic with one hand while I try to hold them with the other.
Thanks for your reply, no they are not laying yet. look like typical teenage birds, all legs body yet to fill out. no tail feathers yet too which is also strange. I was told they were 5 months when I got them and ive had them about a month. This is my first with this breed, and everyday they...
Ive found that several people feed their younguns game bird chick starter instead of chicken start and grow feed. Im thinking that wow, the game bird feed is really high protein, in some cases 30% and isnt that a bit much for a young chicken? They seem to do well on it, but still, is there an...
