Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

This probably isn't the best place to ask, but I thought I would anyway because responses are usually quicker :P I have a beautiful mottled Ameraucana rooster who, as I was told, came from great lines. I have him with two pretty frizzled females, hoping that I'd get some colorful babies from...

    Ancona Ducks

The person I got the ducklings from didn't have any other duck breeds... of course THAT duckling was the only one that I personally did not pick out, my dad did lol XD I just assume it is an especially badly marked Ancona haha :P

    Ancona Ducks

Hello! I'm new to ducks in general and I recently bought 6 Ancona ducklings. I love them so far, they're so pretty! I tried to get every color, so I have 1 black, 1 blue, 1 silver, 1 chocolate, and two that are heavily marked (supposedly one is a tricolor, but I can't tell yet). I have heard...

    D'uccle Thread

I could use some help determining what color this chick is. I purchased two young roosters (who look beautiful so far) and one hen, and this is her. I was told that all three were Mille Fleur D'uccles and I saw pictures of the parents, who were all show quality. I think this girl is much...

FIRST EVER CHICK I HAVE EVER HATCHED :D I'm fairly new to chicken keeping, but decided to let a silkie named Henny sit on some eggs; turned out only two were fertile and one has hatched so far :) I am SO excited! This little one is a silkie named Cluck Norris. Loves hiding in mama's fluff.

I might take you up on that... I can wait :P About how long until you think you could have a few chicks/hatching eggs available...?

Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Does anyone know of any show quality Silkie or D'Uccle breeders in Michigan? Preferably as close to Muskegon area as possible (I live in Ravenna), but could probably drive an hour or two out of the way if needed. I have a full grown blue silkie roo and I need some girls for him, and then I...

    Tolbunt Polish

Random question: Do tolbunts tend to be more susceptible to disease/weaker than other chickens? The chicks that I've had have always seemed more puny than other polish chicks.

    D'uccle Thread

Does anybody know where I could find some Mille Fleur D'uccles in Michigan? I have a frizzled Mille Fleur D'uccle roo who needs some girls. I'm in Michigan so local would be nice, but doesn't have to be :P Thanks in advance! :D

Tolbunt Polish Pair For Sale (and a few other chickens)

Trying to clear up some space and get few of a few extra chickens. PM me if interested. I have a frizzled polish tolbunt rooster that is almost 1 year old and a tolbunt/gold-laced bantam split hen that is laying. Both are super friendly as well (I used the hen, aka Lady, for 4-H and she loves...

Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

About a week ago I posted about my chickens being sick with swollen eyes or just all of a sudden turning up dead. There were, at the time, 2 with swollen eyes and one that was just acting lethargic, and three that had already died. I gave them immunizations with Tylan 50 for 3 days so far and...

If they all had the same symptoms, it would be much easier to identify. All I know is that the ones who died quickly and suddenly displayed no symptoms beforehand, there were some who just became more and more lethargic before they died, and some who get swollen eyes but act perfectly normal...

    Silkie thread!

My best guess is that that is a White Lined Sphynx caterpillar, like this http://static.uglyhedgehog.com/upload/2012/9/7/thumb-1347045549845-white_lined_sphinx_moth_2.jpg
