What justifies "in distress"? It hasn't made an attempt at zipping all day. But it's made the hole bigger by a bit. It chirps every once in a while.
There hasn't been much progress. :/ the chick with the wrong end pip managed to knock the shell off so now I see membrane and I think it has a tear in it, so it can get oxygen I hope. My temps were pretty high for a couple of days; I hope that didn't ruin our hatch. :(
