So we ended up with too many damn toms, who would have guessed! The problem is is that my mom doesn't want to cull them all. They're all under a year old, but just about full grown. And the boys are FIGHTING!!! also to no one's surprise.
Is caponizing adult turkeys a thing? Can it be done...
He was able to feel that it was broken. Idk how I wasn't able to feel it, but an xray confirmed it. Since it's a clean break he's going to splint it and keep her on confinement rest for a few weeks with pain meds. Should fix her right up. All keep yall posted on how she gets along from there!
Update! Went to the vet to try and rule things out. Turns out it's a broken leg. I feel so bad for letting her sit for so lung, but being in a small town the vet is busy with calves atm. She's there now to get fixed up. Here's to her healing soon!

So she's doing a bit better. Only thing is, is she's now sticking her leg out behind her and just sitting on it like that. Sometimes she'll correct herself, but she will sit normally when corrected
As far as I know she's not vaccinated, as we got her second hand and didn't hatch her ourselves. She's fed several things: layer feed, wild game feed, a little bit of a seed mix, and whatever bugs she was able to catch.
But that is a good idea on the tab in food thing, I'll try that in a sec!
So one of our chickens, a Brahman yearling, is lame for some reason. One day she just stumbled out of the coop and fell over unable to use her legs properly. No other chickens are showing similar symptoms, so we quarantined her in our smaller coop.
She's eating and drinking well, but she's on...
Hey everyone. I just lost another chicken to a mystery illness.
Symptoms:
Lethargy, pus in eyes, not wanting food or water
This is the second chicken I have lost to whatever this is, and I need some help. Her face wasn't swollen, no raspy breathing or coughing. The only thing I can think of...
