Yes I live near the coast, but it's not sand fleas thank goodness. I took the lid off of the water container last night and when I came back this morning I counted 7 of them in the water. I have a picture now. It's the best shot I can get.

Yea she is broody. I have a hen just like yours and she won't stop sitting. So I just took her eggs away from her and let her free range. She hasn't gone back to her nest. She will only go back if there are eggs in her nest.

I have a 7-8 month madigan claret who is recovering from a hard molt. His new feathers are coming out and I'm happy to see that. However, I am concerned about his health status. I think he is sick. It started around 2-3 weeks ago. The following is what I see so far.
