    assisted hatch rejected by broody. how do we care for this chick

    We came home from work and found this chick tired and in a dry membrane egg. We assisted, yoke was already absorbed and and she was chirping weakly. Brought her in the house. cleaned her up. this is what she looks like. We already had 1 chick hatched 2 days ago, 4 yesterday and this one today...

    Where did you purchase yours from? We went to a local Feed Store and picked them out and they were all in these little pens but don't know for sure that, that's what I got.

    It looks like both of our Ameracauna's are laying. One egg is blue and has been blue for the last week or so. Today, we got our first what looks to be a green-ish blue egg. We're excited either way but wondering if We were sold another breed. Hmmm?!?

    Help – is this Silkie a roo?

    I'm not an expert, but we just re-homed our too Silkie roos and they look just like yours. How old are they? Ours are 6 months and have been crowing for about a month now. I thought I had pics but I'm a bad chicken mommy and don't have any of the Silkies :(
