Yes, the vet said again to me that we may get UPTO 12 months. I have heard other say 4 - 6 months for the smaller sized Suprelorin injection and 10 - 12 months for the big one. I'll be watching the colour of her comb and seeing if she starts to eat more, both are good signs that they may start...

No, not yet, but she was a very infrequent layer which is very unusual for her breed. She would go months between eggs. I suspected she hadn't laid for a while when she had the initial egg problem. No signs of egg peritonitis or other issues though which was interesting. I'm looking at getting...

What's wrong with Patty? Please help!

She is 5. I just checked on her to warm up her heating pad again, and she is still hanging in there. I have heard of Piperazine before, not sure where though. Ill check out the pet barn tomorrow. I have 16 other chickens and all seem to be going well. I did have one that was egg bound, but she...

What's wrong with Patty? Please help!

Hi there My old girl is unwell and has been for two days. I found her laying on the ground under her roost. I brought her inside and examined her well. Her crop appeared initially distended and was full of foul watery brown smelly liquid. I drained this out of her. She has also had watery and...

Duck with missing and injured leg

It looks very like this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_wood_duck Good news this morning! The duck appears alive and quite observant. I peeked under the cover of the crate and it looked straight up at me to investigate. I will see if I can find a vet this morning or maybe a WIRES...

Duck with missing and injured leg

It appears to have a few injuries as it couldn't fly. I checked the wings and one side appears to be missing a few feathers but I think feels pretty...
