    Red skin and missing feathers on underbelly and around vent! HELP!

    I have around 10 or so hens that have the exact same thing. I've thought it was something in the nests because they are in them everyday. Would cedar chips in the coop and nests run these lice and mites off?

    Newbie here...

    Quick update.. Due to some miscalculation, tornados and loss of power, so far I have only had 3 of original 10 eggs of saxony ducks hatch. I am stoked and my lady is already calling herself a new mama. These three ducks are awesome. Even at 24hours old.

    Sanitizing eggs for the incubator.

    Does anyone have an opinion on using the egg wash wipes on the eggs before I put them in the incubator. The eggs I have just recieved have a little more goodness on them than I want in the incubator. Or at least I'm comfortable with. The wipes are made of all natural ingredients. Anyone?
