I recently purchased 25 cinnamon queen chicks and 2 cinnamon queen roosters, with the intention of raising straight cinnamon queens. They are the real deal, SLW's x RIR's. My question, (may be a dumb one) will CQ's bred to CQ's produce CQ's? Or is there some weird genetic deal with hybrids that...
I ordered 25 "Cinnamon Queens" from a hatchery. When I asked what they were breeding to get their CQ's, they told me a RIR hen and a ISA brown rooster. Are these considered actual CQ's? I've never heard of those used to get a CQ.
That's what the vet said. Didn't think it was Mareks. All birds were destroyed and disposed of properly. Going to buy chicks from a reputable hatchery, and will raise our own from now on. Thanks for the info!

She lays big brown eggs. She's so spooky that it's hard to get closer to get a good pic. We've had her for months, and she's still really nervous acting.
Local guy gave her to us. She's a brown egg layer. She's super spooky and shy...even after several months. Just curious what she is. Thanks for any replies.
