Well just lost a Partridge Plymouth Rock to pasty butt. It also was the runt of the hatch. Kept cleaning it's vent but to no avail. It just kept getting weaker and weaker even though it was eating and drinking. was getting ready to try molasses and water but it was too late. The other 14 chicks...

I grew up on a farm and I never knew of my grandparents, parents, relatives, or myself of ever washing our eggs, unless they had poop on them. I am 64 and still kicking.
