I'm using 20 mil vinyl from Joann fabric. It is 54" wide, very clear, and comes by the yard. We have very high winds here, and 6mil plastic doesn't last a week in the winter.

Regarding Faverolles; be careful. I have two hatchery faverolles, that while not mean at all, are extremely forward girls. Choose carefully! Rather than hatchery birds, there are many good breeders here that would probably help you with this.
