    She only had two eggs, we are new to chickens and hatching so we where taking her eggs not knowing she was broody When we figured it out we let her keep the 2 eggs. So we got 1 hatch and well...you know about the other. We learned the hard way.

    When my husband opened the membrane he did not take the beak out so....he did not make it We also noticed he was not as far along as we thought there was alot of yolk left that was not absorbed.... Thank you for trying to help.

    We put our one surviving egg into lock down yesterday.when I candled yesterday I could see his foot just under the air sack. Cross your fingers he flips and pips. It is our only survivor of 12 eggs, and this is my first hatch ever! We are at day 19

    I have 12 partridge silkies, they go into lock down tomorrow night. This is my first time hatching so am very very nervous and excited. We live in alberta,canada and it is very dry here so i have to watch my humidity close. Wish me luck.

    incubator help please!

    I am using an old 10gallon fish tank as an incubator. I have tin foiled all sides except the front.
