Thanks for your help now I have to go figure out what...

    Yellow Worm on Chicken!

I've got a seven week old orpington buff and I found a little worm on her. The worm was yellow and kind of translucent about half a centimetre long and it had a little black dot inside of it. I only spotted one of them and it was just sitting on a feather (not on the skin), I don't know if it is...

    Curved toes (not curled)

I can't really offer you mush help, but I had a chicken with the same problem. When she was young I tried to correct it by cutting the sticky parts off of a bandage and putting her foot on top of one piece and arranging her toes properly, then sticking the second piece on top of her foot. It...

    Traumatized Chicken

I am concerned about the raccoon coming back! Raccoons would not come in the day right? And will my survivor be lonely? I won't be able to get any more birds for a while, and even when I do get more will she get along with them?

    Traumatized Chicken

Thanks she is drinking and eating this morning so I think she will be fine! I'm pretty sure it was a raccoon, we saw the survivor attacking the creature and when we opened the door and ran outside the creature ran off so we didn't acutely get to see it close up. Thanks for the ideas!

Keep your chickens healthy and happy!

Hello!:frow I am just a chicken lover who feels very uneducated on Chickens in general! I would appreciate it if someone could inform me on the symptoms, precautionary actions to take, and treatments that I should know about if one of my hens is unwell. 1. What might you notice if a...
